These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Bluestream Entertainment website located at bluestreamentertainment.ca and the booking of entertainment services provided by Bluestream Entertainment ("we," "us," or "our"), operating in Fairview, Alberta, Canada. By accessing this website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our website, requesting a quote, or entering into a service agreement with Bluestream Entertainment, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian;
- You have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent;
- All information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete;
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of our services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and anyone who accesses or uses our website or services, including those who submit online forms or communicate with us by phone or email.
Services Offered
Bluestream Entertainment provides professional entertainment services for events held primarily in Fairview and the surrounding Peace Country region of Alberta, including but not limited to:
- DJ Services Music curation, MC hosting, ceremony and reception sound;
- Event Lighting Uplighting, dance floor lighting, gobo monograms, and ambient décor lighting;
- Photo Booth Rentals Open-air booths, enclosed booths, digital/print packages, and custom props;
- Wedding Entertainment Packages Bundled DJ, lighting, and photo booth services for weddings;
- Birthday & Private Party Entertainment DJ, lighting, and photo booth services for private events;
- Community Event Entertainment Sound systems, DJ, and technical support for festivals, fundraisers, and public events.
Service availability is subject to date availability and geographic accessibility. We reserve the right to decline bookings at our sole discretion. The specific services, equipment, and terms for any booking will be set out in a separate written Service Agreement.
Booking & Deposits
A booking is not confirmed until the following steps have been completed:
- You have submitted a booking request (online, by phone, or in person) and we have confirmed availability;
- A written Service Agreement has been reviewed and signed by both parties;
- A non-refundable booking deposit typically 30% of the total quoted price has been received by Bluestream Entertainment.
The deposit secures your event date exclusively. We will not accept another booking for the same date and time slot once your deposit is received and the Service Agreement is executed.
Date holds: We may, at our discretion, hold a date for up to 72 hours without a deposit to allow time for contract review. After 72 hours, the date hold expires and the date may be offered to another client without notice.
Quote validity: Written quotes provided by Bluestream Entertainment are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change after quote expiry.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is as follows:
Client-Initiated Cancellation
- More than 90 days before event: Deposit is forfeited; no further charges apply.
- 31–90 days before event: Deposit is forfeited; 25% of remaining balance is due.
- 15–30 days before event: Deposit is forfeited; 50% of remaining balance is due.
- 14 days or fewer before event: Full contracted amount is due and payable.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email to info@bluestreamentertainment.ca). Cancellation is effective from the date the written notice is received by us.
Client-Initiated Rescheduling
We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to availability. Rescheduling to a new date more than 90 days away from the original event date: deposit transfers at no charge (once only). Rescheduling within 90 days of the original event date: a rescheduling fee of $150 applies. If we are unavailable on the requested new date, the cancellation policy above applies.
Company-Initiated Cancellation
In the rare event that Bluestream Entertainment must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., serious illness, equipment failure, extreme weather, force majeure), we will provide as much notice as possible and will offer a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit. Our liability is limited to amounts paid we are not responsible for any consequential damages arising from cancellation.
Payment Terms
Unless otherwise specified in the Service Agreement, the following payment schedule applies:
- Booking Deposit (30%): Due upon signing the Service Agreement to confirm your booking.
- Second Instalment (40%): Due 60 days prior to the event date.
- Final Balance (30%): Due 14 days prior to the event date.
For bookings made within 60 days of the event date, the full amount may be required at time of booking.
Accepted payment methods: E-Transfer (Interac), cheque payable to Bluestream Entertainment, or cash. Credit card payments may be available please inquire at time of booking.
Late payments: Payments not received by their due date may result in suspension of services or cancellation of the booking at our discretion. Interest on overdue amounts accrues at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum).
Taxes: All quoted prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST/HST). Applicable Canadian taxes will be itemized on your invoice.
Additional charges: Services requested on the day of the event that were not included in the original Service Agreement (e.g., extended hours, additional equipment) will be invoiced at our prevailing day-of rates and are due within 7 days of the event.
Client Conduct & Venue Requirements
To ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all, we ask that clients and their guests:
- Treat all Bluestream Entertainment staff, equipment, and property with respect;
- Ensure the venue provides adequate power supply (details specified in the Service Agreement);
- Ensure adequate space is available for equipment set-up as communicated prior to the event;
- Allow our team reasonable access to the venue for set-up and teardown (typically 2–3 hours before and 1–2 hours after the event);
- Ensure appropriate permits or venue permissions are obtained for amplified music or special lighting effects where required;
- Comply with venue noise bylaws and curfews our team is not responsible for event termination due to bylaw violations.
Damage to equipment: The client is responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by guests, third parties, or conditions at the venue during the event. Repair or replacement costs will be invoiced and are payable within 14 days.
Right to refuse service: Bluestream Entertainment reserves the right to cease services immediately and without refund if our staff are subjected to abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour, or if the safety of our personnel or equipment is at risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Bluestream Entertainment's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the provision of services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim;
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of enjoyment, loss of profits, or loss of data;
- We are not responsible for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, power outages, road closures, venue issues, or acts of God;
- We do not guarantee specific guest experience outcomes the success of your event depends on many factors beyond our control, including venue acoustics, guest participation, and weather.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act (Alberta) or other applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation.
Equipment & Technical Requirements
Bluestream Entertainment provides professional-grade equipment as described in the Service Agreement. The following conditions apply:
- Power requirements: Standard events require access to dedicated 20-amp circuits. Large events may require additional circuits details will be communicated during the booking process.
- Equipment substitution: We reserve the right to substitute comparable or superior equipment where necessary. We will notify you of any material substitutions in advance where possible.
- Client-supplied music: If you wish to provide a playlist or specific tracks, they must be delivered in an agreed digital format at least 7 days before the event. We are not responsible for audio quality issues arising from client-supplied files.
- Outdoor events: Outdoor events require adequate shelter (tent or covered area) for all equipment. We reserve the right to remove or not deploy equipment if weather conditions pose a risk to equipment or personnel safety.
- Internet/streaming: Unless specifically agreed in writing, our services do not rely on internet connectivity. If live streaming is required, the client is responsible for providing a stable internet connection.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Bluestream Entertainment website including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software is the property of Bluestream Entertainment or its licensors and is protected by Canadian copyright law and international intellectual property treaties.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written consent, except for:
- Temporary downloading for personal, non-commercial use;
- Sharing links to our website on social media or other platforms.
Photo and video content from your event: Bluestream Entertainment may capture or receive photos and video footage from events we service. We may use this content for promotional purposes (website, social media, marketing materials) unless you notify us in writing before the event that you do not consent. Any such content will be used in a way that respects your privacy and the privacy of your guests.
Music licensing: Bluestream Entertainment operates under applicable music performance licensing arrangements. Clients are responsible for obtaining any venue-specific music licensing required by SOCAN or other applicable licensing bodies.
Website Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or its related systems;
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the website using automated tools without our written permission;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any forms on the website;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Third-party links: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party websites.

- We collect information you provide through booking forms, contact requests, and communications;

Governing Law
These Terms of Use and any Service Agreement entered into with Bluestream Entertainment are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, sitting in the judicial district of Peace River.
We encourage clients to contact us directly in the first instance to resolve any concerns informally. We are committed to fair and transparent business practices and will make every reasonable effort to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.
Changes to These Terms
Bluestream Entertainment reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page;
- Post a notice on our website for a reasonable period following the change.
Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
Changes to these Terms do not affect the terms of any existing signed Service Agreement those agreements remain governed by the Terms in effect at the time of signing, unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
